Our Young Adult ministry is geared towards people from ages 18-40. Our group consists of college students, young professionals, singles, couples, and young families. We are a diverse group unified by our love for God and our love for others in the community.
Our passion is to reach out to other young people in our community who are hurting and searching for a place where they can be heard and appreciated. We are here to engage and impact our culture through acts of service and setting the example. We want to offer hope and a place where everyone can feel respected and united in love.
Our activities consist of game nights, special events, worship, volunteering, studying the Word, and just having fun. We strive to offer a variety of opportunities for you to become engaged and even take the lead and develop your talents and gifts in serving others. It doesn’t matter if you feel qualified. Take that first step in faith and watch what happens!
Our young adults are passionate about life and eager to make a change in our society. Check out our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/vyaraleighnc for more information about upcoming events and ways you can get involved.
Check us out. We would love the opportunity to get to know you. In our group, there’s always room for one more!
Young Adults Leader
Trevoron is a military veteran, having served eleven years as an Air Force officer. He left military service in 2015 after working at North Carolina State University as a ROTC instructor. Although he tried to find occupation with several companies, nothing felt like a good fit for his talents and interests. He decided to start attending Liberty University online while he waited for his calling to become more clear. One thing kept gnawing at his heart, to continue working with college students and young adults.
During that period, Trevoron started a videography business and saw that he had a gift for it. He also earned his real estate license and is currently an active REALTOR with a local firm. To satisfy his desire to work with young adults, he started volunteering with the Young Adults ministry, eventually becoming the ministry leader in November 2016. He has been impacted by the group in many ways, challenging his comfort zone and exposing the great need for Christ that currently exists for this group in our society.
Trevoron has been attending Victory Church since 2012. He and his wife Nicole have two children, Jordan and Grace. In addition to real estate and videography, he enjoys public speaking, backpacking, and working out. He also enjoys participating with the Men of Victory Church ministry and has become a regular member of the annual Guatemala missions trip that the church supports.
Trevoron’s vision for Young Adult Ministry: To engage and impact the culture. Young adults are looking for something spiritually. We cannot afford to sit back in the church hoping they walk through the doors. Young people are being bombarded with messages of self-fulfillment, attempting to provide for themselves those things that only God can provide. It’s time we changed that narrative and show them that the church is not a place where they become restricted, but where they can finally become free.
